Mission Statement

The primary mission of the Louisiana Chapter of the PMC Guild is to celebrate "L'esprit du Metal", the spirit of metal. We are a group of dedicated metal clay enthusiasts who wish to gather together to:

  • Promote education and understanding of metal clay among its members and the community
  • Share knowledge of metal clay techniques
  • Encourage and inspire each other
  • Advance our artistic development in metal clay of all forms

We welcome all interested metal clay enthusiasts of all skill levels and brand preference to our meetings for lectures, demonstrations and open discussion in a supportive, respectful and fun-filled environment.

Meetings

Meetings are held every other month around the state of Louisiana. Initially meetings will be held in Lafayette and Alexandria, and as more members join from other areas, such as New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Shreveport, additional locations may be added.

Meetings will be fun and informal, and will provide the opportunity to:
  • Share our metal clay experiences and troubleshoot problems
  • Provide skill challenges
  • Disseminate technical information
  • Share opportunities for classes, shows, and galleries
  • Showcase guest lecturers
  • Provide practical demonstrations
Anyone who is interested may attend their first meeting at no charge.

Membership Fees and Dues

Annual dues are $15, payable on February 15 each year.
Members joining during 2011 will be considered Charter members, eligible for reduced fees or special programs.
While not required, we encourage membership in the international PMC Guild (www.pmcguild.com) who provides our chapter with information and support.
